Red lid – use outside the standard scheme: with two-tone containers, the lid signals the fraction while the grey body stays neutral – a principle many municipalities apply because one body type is enough for all fractions. Red is not assigned uniformly nationwide and is often used for special fractions or commercial collections: for defined material streams within businesses, for containers collected separately, or as a warning marker at locations where certain waste must not be deposited. Agree on the use in advance with your waste management provider, as the colour assignment is set at municipal level and can vary by region.
