Green lid on grey body – check the allocation: on this two-tone container, the colour information sits in the lid; the grey body is neutral and is the standard in many municipalities because it can be reused for any fraction. Green is used differently depending on the area: in some places for bio-waste from the kitchen and garden, elsewhere for waste paper, occasionally also as a separate designation for garden waste or, in businesses, for an internally defined recyclables fraction. There is no rule that applies nationwide. So check the allocation via the waste calendar or directly with the waste disposal company, and if used freely, also label the lid so that all users recognise the fraction.
