SULO® MGB 120 liter trash can grey with brown lid

SULO® MGB wheelie bin 120 litres grey with brown lid – food waste bin with neutral body

In this variant, the grey bin body carries a brown lid. Local authorities like to use this arrangement, as waste streams can be changed via the lid without replacing the entire fleet of bins. The 120-litre Citybac® is well suited to this: HDPE is insensitive to fruit acids and easy to clean.

Brown lid – identifying food waste collection: brown indicates food waste in many local authorities, while the grey body remains neutral and makes no statement of its own. Typically collected are fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds with filter, tea bags, eggshells, out-of-date food without packaging, and small quantities of grass cuttings and leaves. Plastic bags do not belong inside, not even those labelled compostable, as many facilities cannot process them; paper bags are the safe alternative. A closed lid and a shaded location noticeably reduce odour formation in summer. Which lid colour applies to food waste in your area is determined by your local waste bylaws.
