Grey – the colour of residual waste

In most waste management by-laws, grey is assigned to residual waste: hygiene items, vacuum cleaner bags, sweepings and everything left over after recyclables have been separated. In residential complexes this is the largest fraction by volume, which is why the 1100 litre model is usually the first container acquired. Colour assignment, however, is regulated by each local authority and can vary by region.

Why a round lid?

The curve creates additional capacity above the rim of the container – an advantage for loose waste that cannot be layered neatly. Anyone who needs to stack containers or place them under low enclosures should choose the flat-lid version. As a four-wheeled container, this model is designed for multi-family buildings, commercial premises and municipalities, not for individual households.

A ready-assembled lid-opening system (bin accessory/lid opener) that releases the lid at the touch of a foot is available for an extra charge – because retrofitting it is labour-intensive, it is best ordered together with the container.
